First, every CAI intake is specifically designed and engineered for the vehicle it is sold for, resulting in maximum performance, an easy install, and a perfect fit! Next, their intakes are made of high-quality aluminum--not heat-absorbing plastic.
Their intake tubes have a ceramic coating both inside and out to reduce heat soak, as well as to keep radiant heat from penetrating the intake air. And they've applied 3/8 in. thermal insulation inside the air box to prevent heat transfer from the engine bay.
