FORGED 4340 SCAT PRO COMP H-BEAM RODS w/ARP8740 BOLTS 4.7L Mopar

Scat H-beam connecting rods are the strongest Scat connecting rods available by Scat. These Scat H-beam connecting rods are perfect for supercharged and nitrous applications. These rods incorporate a special doweled cap for specific cap-to-rod alignment and are profiled with extra clearance for stroker applications. Forged 4340 material with ARP 7/16 8740 rod bolts make them very strong and affordable. SCAT rates these H-Beam rods with ARP 8740 Bolts are rated to 750 horsepower on small blocks and 850 on big blocks, ARP 2000 bolt upgrade brings the rating up to 1000 horsepower on small blocks, and 1200 on big blocks. SCAT is very conservative in their ratings.

Also keep in mind your rotational weights @ RPM have more of an effect on the rod serviceability than HP alone. Aim for a lightweight pistons and as light weight of a rotating assembly as possible and aim make power as low as possible in the RPM range and your ROD’s will handle more power than the above ratings. Our Ross .040 over Bore 10:1cr pistons weigh in at approximately 401.4 grams…. These rods where intended for LARGER heavier pistons. This alone increases their HP rating considerably.

NOT INTENDED FOR USE WITH STOCK PISTONS! These rods require pistons with a .927 FREE FLOATING wrist pin. These are to be used with our ROSS Pistons only!

Use standard 4.7L TABLESS bearings with these Rods. These are the best H-Beam Rod available ready for high performance 4.7L engines. These Rods are intended to be used with our Ross Piston sets as a combo. The part number in NOT an actual SCAT Part number and has been changed to reflect resizing.

These kits are intended to be BALANCED at your local machine shop, no reason to dump a ton of money into your engine only to skip balancing... this should be done on all built engines. We will do our best to send you a balance assembly but it's up to the customer to verify and balance with the crankshaft used in the buildup.
